Boat trip river / sea

You can make a boat trip on the river or sea. It is also possible to make a private trip on the river where you imagine yourself in the Amazon, the Rio Itanhaém delta is not for nothing called the - Amazon Paulista - .There is a large mangrove forest witch is the home to many bird species and animals.

Cities around

There are several towns in the area witch you can visit by bus. Sao Vicente has a nice boulevard and you can take a cable car up to a plateau where there is is a magnificent view over the coastline.

Nearby cities are: Praia Grand, São Vicente and Santos.

Culinary

There are several good restaurants in Itanhaém including fish restaurants. You can also buy excellent fresh fish and prepare it on the barbecue. The river fish tastes good and you will be surprised by the good taste of the Robalo, a specialty.

Beaches

Itanhaém has several beaches including Praia Cibratel with many kiosks. It is great to be among the Brazilians on the beach with their glad samba music. This expansive beach is ideal for long walks.

Rio Itanhaém

The Rio Itanhaém divides into two rivers, the Rio Negro and the Rio Branco. Both rivers are surrounded by tropical vegetation and a cruise on the river is highly recommended.
